Ok…. Abstract is hard. Abstract is not just a style of art but a process. If you let it, abstract can be an outlet to purge emotions, manifest music into tangible patterns, or simply force yourself out of a comfort zone.

These swans started as dollops of hot pink acrylic on canvas. I used my fingers, flat edges, and random things to build the photo until it took shape. After it dried… I went back with builder and some brush work.

How do you feel looking at it? A little disorganized and uneasy? Free and bold?

A little Nashville today.

A little Nashville today.

Ok…. So, part of my “art mission” is to be as sustainable as possible. This means, if you buy framed art from me, there is a 95% chance that frame was thrifted, found at a yard sale, or supported a small business.

On a quick trip to #nashville to see #lettuce with @tn_grooves, we stopped at @turnipgreencreativereuse … and OH MY SUPPLIES!!!!!

This is the ultimate business model for sustainability in the artsy, fartsy, crafty, creative space and I’m so jelly we don’t have one in Knoxville!
